Steel Shot Requirements

Is it required to have a chrome lined barrel if you use steel shot?

I am looking at the Mossberg 500 with smooth barrels and in California, they may ban lead shot afterall.

That is an interesting point...I think my tailpipe emmisions have less CO2 than my breath. You know out here they make put your vehicle up on a treadmill for the smog test every two years, and the test went up to $70 at many places around here.

There are dealerships that charge $140.
You can still find places that'll do it for $50.
