I had a Baikal 43E that I put plenty of Winchester 1 O/Z rifled slugs through both barrels and never had a problem but I don’t think that the gun would be worth the expense of fitting screw in chokes to.
I had a cousin put a load of steal shot through my pops V G Bentley and it lost 6" of barrel.

Mossburg 835

i bought a mossburg 835 deer/turkey combo. can i shoot rifled slugs out of the bird barrel? the sabot cost 10 dollars more and for right now i dont need that.

can i shoot a rifled slug with out a choke in my mossburg 835? the choke is a crew-in and i have the FULL choke for turkey and lead but idont know if i can use slugs with that barrel.

I've seen barrels blown up by shooting slugs through a screwin choke but I always rhought it might be because the choke wasnt in all the way. sam.

My 835 SPECIFICALLY states DO NOT shoot slugs through the turkey barrel because it is over bored, says so in all your documentation and on the website. So in short No.
