pistol grip help!

Hello everyone, New here and have a quick question. I have a Norinco model-37 or the YL12-IJ4 bottom eject 12 gauge pump. Bought it as a cheap home defense gun and now I'am looking for a pistol grip for it, but cant seem to find one. Does anyone know where I can find one that will fit this specific gun or one that will work? Any help would be great. Thanks!

i dont think you'll find one for that shotgun. on the other hand, i personally believe that a pistol grip is the worst possible thing you can put on a shotgun.

Thumbs up

.45HERO...Personally, I like the pistol grip on my Browning Sweet Sixteen. Fact is, I think that's a big part of what set's it apart from many other shotguns.

.45HERO, I would have to look at it, but either BRG3 or I could prob. fabricate one for you. I travel to the twin cities pretty often. If you want to give me a call or PM me with your number, I'd be happy to take a look at it. BTW, welcome to G&G !

I think that shotgun is a copy of the Ithica model 37, have you tried an Ithica pistol grip? I agree with Lefty, I don't care for pistol grips, I do, however, like Tachical stocks with a pistol grip.

I was just about to say the same thing, see if an Ithaca 37 stock/grip will work.

I'm a fan of the p-grip combined with a full length buttstock. I have one on my Rem 870 not for any tactical reason but for ergonomics when shooting high recoil slugs. If you want compactness, consider a folding stock, that way you can have it with or without buttstock at a moment's notice.

Dennis (MarschalGrips),

I posted this in the other forum, but it doesn't seem to get much traffic, so I'll put this quickie short post here.

Since you live there in Hungary, do you know where I can buy extra mags for my FEG Mark II, .380 PKM?

Should I buy FEG specific mags, can I use Walther PPK mags, or?

Anyone else know?

Thanks.

45, Did you get one that worked? Doing the same thing and I am guessing that an Ithaca 37 pistol grip will work but wondering if you tried it first.

Yea, try the Ithaca 37 pistol grip if it dosen't work and you just have to have a pistol grip if it is a wood stock you could saw it off but that could get messy, they don't make a pistol grip for a number of models, mine is a single shot Magtech 151 and I sawed my stock off at the grip and the barrel to 18 1/2 inches.

Great timing! I was just looking into a pistol grip for my Norinco Model 37 clone....

I came across this today.

GunBroker.com guns: ithica model 37 12ga pistol grip (item: 82989034 ends: Oct-22-07 08:45:31 PM)

It looks like it would fit the YL12-IJ4! I think I'm going to give it a try as soon as I come across a few $

yes don't put the pistol grip by itself you'll break your wrist trying to shoot a 3"magnum shell out of it. i took mine off and will never put it back on . i put a ati colapsable stock on mine and it works great it came with a rubber butt pad .
