| Shotgun help - American Arms, Inc.
Ok, a few years back my father-in-law gave me a shotgun of his. It needed badly cleaned, so I cleaned it up and just put it in my gun case. Well a lot of new things are comming up in my life (may be adopting a baby soon) and since I don't use the gun, I am thinking of getting rid of it. But the problem is, I can't find much about it. Here is what I got off the gun. It is an American Arms, Inc. N.K.C. MO "Canne Cromate" Made in Italy 3 1/2 Inch 10 ga. I have done searches for American Arms and basically found out they are a company that would buy guns from Spain and Italy and sell them here in the US. I don't believe they are still in business. So any help on finding out more about this gun and possibly how much it would be worth? Thanks |

dont know about your specific model, but AA guns are generally very low quality and not worth much. my own opinion is that if you can get someone to give you more than $200 for any used AA shotgun, you are doing well.

I am not very surprised to hear it is a cheap gun, knowing my father-in-law, but thanks for the info.

I was going to say, I know this one is a single barrel. I don't know much about shotguns, so what is a "26" multiple choke or 32" full fixed choke"? I am guessing the messurement is the length of the barrel?

The measurement is the length of the barrel. The multiple choke is a polychoke or a large device on the muzzle with markings for different chokes(full, modified, open,or such),you turn the outside to change settings. The fixed choke is a restriction. usually the last 2" to 4" of the barrel.I dont know what 10ga.is without looking but for a reference 12ga.has a cylinder bore of .728 and is reduced to .693 for full choke.Being a 10ga you might advertise in the paper and ask a little more than value and still not be ripping anyone off.The prices they give are below any 10ga price I know of and if someone is buying for colection or personal use they would probably be willing to pay more than what they state.Good luck with the adoption, you are doing a loving and generous thing.GOD bless you and your wonderful wife. sam.
