Ansley H.Fox started manufacturing shotguns in 1896 in Baltimore Md.He was employed by the Baltimore Gun Co. for several years and formed the Phylidelphia Gun Co. and in 1905 the A.H.Fox Gun Co..They produced high quality shotguns until 1930.The Savage Arms Co. of utica, N.Y. bought the Fox Gun Co. in 1930 and mfg,d them until 1942.Sterlingworth is a model. They also had Wildfowler,Trap Double,Skeeter,SP,A,B,C,D,F,G,H,J,K,L,M,X..Savage Mfg,d a .20 ga until 1988. I am a little behind on what they are doing now but believe they have been manufacturing a .20ga since 1993 by Connecticut Shotgun Mfg. Co. in 5 grades. sam.
