My free winchester 101

so my father in law just gave me his old shotgun today during a visit. Didn't take much thought about it till I saw what he pulled from the closet. An old Winchester 101 in 20g. It's covered in dust and there's cobwebs in the barrel but it's a keeper.

There are a few small rust spots on the barrel, what should I do about those? The wood is in excellent condition as well as the action.

I am so excited to go shoot this beauty.

That's great! The 101 was/ is a very nice gun. Here is a S/N range for you to tell what year yours was made in. If the rust is pitted, you can't do much, if it's surface rub it out with some oil and a rag.
