Depending on what you are shooting, I prefer the Sabot Slugs that have a .50 cal Projectile for Extreme Penetration, and Brenneke slugs for Hunting !

First of all, if you don't have a rifled bbl. or rifled choke tube forget the sabot type shells. If it is a smoothbore, what choke is it? Usually IC, or Mod. chokes work the best with regular slugs. Notice I use the word usually, I'v seen full choke shotguns that are accurate. Now if it is a smooth bore buy as many different 5 packs as you can afford and go to the range. Put a sandbag between the butt stock and your shoulder, slugs tend to have a heavier recoil. Now determine which slug is the most accurate in your gun. If you have more than 6 different types you may wish to go on 2 different days. Don't develope a flinch.
