Norinco 12 Gauge - Game loads won't cycle

I haave a Norinco 12 gauge (Ithica 37 clone)

The first time I went shooting with it, I had a VERY hard time with the game loads. They would not eject without some serious force of the pump arm. The Slugs & Buckshot I put through it cycled without a problem... Recently I noticed these 'markings' on the shells...

What part of the gun is causing this and what can I do to fix it?

Open the action and run your finger around the chamber and see if you feel a burr...about 3/8 inch to 1/2 inch in from the end of the chamber.

almost looks like a strike from the ejector. Happy Birthday, officially in half an hour, Mooseman!

to make that kind of dent in a shell takes pressure or Impact...If its not in the chamber, it has to either be during cycling, or hitting something during ejection....with nothing in the chamber, the dent would fireform out if it was in it prior to chambering.
hmm..

I have the same exact shotgun and it makes the same mark. I also shoot the same remington loads and it ejects them just fine.

Just don't shoot them shells no more if they are the only ones that give you a problem. I have a few other shotguns that had a problem with tough ejection (of certain brands), and just left them on the store shelves and had a good ole time shooting what worked......

Johnny,
Try some of the "Estate Brand" 12 ga. bird shot and see how they function. They are less expensive than most brands, Made by Federal, and we shoot thousands of them a year in all makes of shotguns at our Trap shoots and they function in all shotguns so far.
I use the 1-1/8 ounce #7-1/2 shot for the best pattern in my shotguns and range.
