| New member, First post... I have two clean older L.C.Smith doubles and am somewhat unaware of the values, and wonder if this is the fourm to offer them for sell. I have had them since the mid 70's, purchasing from a Capital Police Officer who inherited them from his grand-father. They have been oiled and stored in gun case since that time... Would be interested in what I should post to identify them... please advise. Thanks, Ken, San Antonio |

| Appraisal first Please consider getting an expert appraisal before you think about a sales format. The guns may have considerable value! Also, expert appraisers often have connections to those who will pay top price for certain firearms. Just take it slow and know what you have!!! |

| Super Moderator ![]() | I need all sorts of Info in order to give you a fairly accurate appraisal on L.C Smiths. Depending on Grade, Condition, and Gauge of cartridge, whether it has Auto Ejectors, type of wood, engraving, # of triggers...any markings, etc. Hammers or Hammerless... Pictures too would be nice.Clear Closeups !! I will caution you about some unscrupulous appraisers that may try to under value and purchase those guns due to their being Highly sought after...I will try and give you what I can , and suggest several appraisals from Experts, or Insurance companies... Condition of these guns is the Most determining Factor after figuring out what model it is... Rich
