I need help with my browning model A 20 ga

I have a browning model A that I cant hit the broadside of a barn with. I go shooting clays with my uncle and miss every time. He has a cheap 12ga mossberg and I cant miss with it. So we shot a large peice of card board and the browning shoots a pattern that looks like a U. The lead flies around my target. My uncle and I are using the same brand of ammo same weight of shot and same legnth of cartridge. I have even taken it in to a gunsmith and asked them to take a look at it, and they said nothing is wrong with the gun. Its a beautiful gun, very light and comfortable to hold. I realy want it to shoot correctly please help.

You need to go trade your Browning for a Mossberg LOL

Try some other brands of shotgun shells before considering tradeing off or selling your nice Browning.
Or if your Browning has removeable chokes then do a little research and try a quality aftermarket chokes to see if that helps your gun.

Good Luck to you A.H

Thanks AH thats what I was planning on next I relly dont want to see it go. Plus I would feel dishonest selling it to some one. I am going to get a mossberg next but I also have been looking at the 12ga saigas.

Theres a trick I learned at another forum and many members tried it and all were successful.

Take a 3/8 Dowel rod and then take a sharp knife and cut into the dowel rod at a 45 degree angle 1/2 inch from the end on opposing sides.
Do this 3 more times moveing up the dowel rod in 1 inch increments.
Next buy the finest steel wool you can find...I really don't remember which one.
Now wrap the steel wool around the pieces of wood sticking off the sides of the dowel rod to hold the steel wool in place.
Chuck the oppisit end in a electric hand drill, spray the steel wool with WD 40 now slide the steelwool end of the dowel rod into the barrel and start the drill and work back and forth for 3 minutes.

It was unbeleiveable how this helped shotguns shoot straight, you wouldn't think so but it did or a whole bunch of people were lieing.

It shouldn't in anyway harm your shotgun so consider trying it.

I'll go through a box of notes and see if I can find the website for you later.
A.H

EDIT I think I would put an empty shotgun shell in the chamber and tape it with tape to keep the steel wolo out of the chamber.

2nd. EDIT I would also leave a choke in the shoygun too.

first thing you need to do BEFORE modifying the gun in any way is to try several other different brands/loads of shells. some guns just wont pattern well with some shells.
