| Senior Member | I like a single shot I only have one a old H & R Buck Special needs a little work like a new recoil pad, test fired that thing the other day. My grandfather gave it to me, it knocked me back on one foot with a light field load. NO WAY Im putting a slug in it until I change that pad. Been looking at a 16 and 28 for awhile probably be awhile longer now. |

| Senior Member | I have one of those and love it dearly, excellent for squirrel, rabbit, dove, only one shot makes you more confident on your shot, just do not dry fire it, the have a striker lifter assembly that comes up in front of the firing pin when you pull the hammer back, dry firing will break those and it cost about 45 dollars to have it replaced

| Senior Member | ill make sure i don't. only reason i dry fire is with my sks and well its about impossible to do anything with it but dry fire or fire a round. with the H&R i can at least hold the hammer. now i wanna shoot slugs out of it. what are good cheap ones? i know none will be as cheap as lead shot or just shot shells but what is a good reliable cheap slug shell? not sabot |
