| I do !!! I bought the Mossberg 930 w/ 24" barrel synthectic stocks / Black matte finish. It came with a turkey choke and I bought the Imp. cylinder, Modified and Full. I love this shotgun more than my 3 Remingtons !!! Pick it up and swing it, aim it and you'll see why. Nothing about this gun says cheap and really it isn't. I have Dove hunted with it. I have Squirrel hunted with It. I cleaned my gun cabinet out of all the different 12ga. shells I had and it was a mix of everything. And it shot it all and wanted more !! Mossberg has given us a Jimmy Dandy semi-auto that many can afford. I tore it down after every outting to cleaning which it didn't need and the machineing is so perfect. The few parts seem quality, the gas system is a copy of one of the best and NO O-Rings ! I like this shotgun so much I took it out of the cabinet and leaned it against this desk yesterday morning to admire it all day. You can have your Brownings, Remington, Barretas and your Bennellies This Mossberg will keep going when those others quit !!! The only thing I don't like which is the 24" barrel and porting is to loud in the woods but it's not in open fields. I hope I can harvest a Turkey with it this year. | I dont know about the 930 seems to be alot of great things said about it. However, I read something about that dove hunt in argentina in Mossberg's catalog. Im not buying it not from the Silver Reserve. I had one in a 28ga, and let my dad take it to a GA preserve hunt. He said after about 3 boxes of shells it started firing both barrels. I took it rabbit hunting a time or two after that and occansionaly it did it to me. So I did some research and that seems to be a standard feature on the Silver Reserves. Everyone said Mossberg was fixing them. But I just sent me on down the road. I traded back to the guy I bought it from and told him what was going on. He is a Moss. dealer so shouldnt have any problems fixing it. Very disappointed in the O/U's though.

jashoffa I honestly beleive you'll like like the 930 as much as I do. Being a mid range priced semi-auto shotgun you'll soon discover like I did that it has features such as the receiver design, gas system, loading ramp release buton on the side, ported barrel, nice trigger, This is a very nice shotgun which I feel is 5 times better than my Remington 1100. If you buy one you'll see. I wish you would buy a combo package where you can have the shotgun barrel to hunt small game. A.H

Mossberg makes a very fine shotgun. If you're trying to compare it to the Remington SPR453, I think you will find that the SPR453 is the better buy, if you can find one. Honestly, I haven't been able to find one to buy in nearly a year. I own a Mossberg 500, and it's a very fine shotgun, but I like the quality of my SPR better. If you do a search on google for SPR453 vs Mossberg 930, I think you'll find that the SPR gets more votes, even from Mossberg owners. Just an opinion though. You won't be upset with either choice.

If you like pumpaction shotguns have you looked at Mossbergs 535 series shotguns. These have the new style receivers as the 930's. These receivers had to be developed for Bird and Duck hunters. If you can find one some where please check this feature out. I'm going through a phase right now, I like black synthetic stocks and black matte steel LOL But they have more camo covered shotguns you can shake a stick at too. These 2 models come with spacers to adjust the butt stock which is a nice added feature. Best of all there Made in the U.S.A.

Can I use the turkey choke in the field barrel to go turkey hunting or not? What do you advise? Should I just buy a seperate barrel or not? I have really never used shotguns before, I usually use a rifle to do my hunting
