Crappy part?... They say it's 300 rds/minute. That's the definition of a machine gun: 5 rounds/second. If it were 1 round less per minute, we could buy it as, what I would guess, would be an AOW. Plus, it would allow me to own it in my state, as we have a state law prohibiting machine guns and machine gun parts (that's right, you cannot possess a legally purchased registered full-auto sear in WA State).

I'm hoping they were just rounding up and that it's actually something like 298 rounds/minute, as that would allow me to own it... no matter that I probably couldn't afford it for many years.

But what about the new shot guns from Beretta and Winchester that shoot 12 rounds in under 2 seconds?

You have to pull the trigger once for each round. The one in the video has the trigger held-down as in a full-auto weapon. Pull and hold trigger and it will shoot until the magazine is empty.

I've seen that on futereweapons and or weaponology on the military channel a few times now. It's definately a shotgun that can hold plenty of rounds. I can't remember for sure, but I think it can shoot some explosive loads or something, not sure if it was that one or a different one he's had on the shows. It was on a few nights ago, and since I'd seen it already, a repeat episode, I kept on channel flipping.

Sure would be nice to have around wouldn't it. I forget how much he said it weighed, both empty and with a full load. Id memory serves me right, it wasn't all that bad.

It probably is for other guys, but here's where I have the problem in my state:
Quote:
(1) It is unlawful for any person to manufacture, own, buy, sell, loan, furnish, transport, or have in possession or under control, any machine gun, short-barreled shotgun, or short-barreled rifle; or any part designed and intended solely and exclusively for use in a machine gun, short-barreled shotgun, or short-barreled rifle, or in converting a weapon into a machine gun, short-barreled shotgun, or short-barreled rifle; or to assemble or repair any machine gun, short-barreled shotgun, or short-barreled rifle.
Ref: RCW 9.41.190: Unlawful firearms — Exceptions.

And here's the definition of a machine gun in my state:
Quote:
(7) "Machine gun" means any firearm known as a machine gun, mechanical rifle, submachine gun, or any other mechanism or instrument not requiring that the trigger be pressed for each shot and having a reservoir clip, disc, drum, belt, or other separable mechanical device for storing, carrying, or supplying ammunition which can be loaded into the firearm, mechanism, or instrument, and fired therefrom at the rate of five or more shots per second.
Ref: RCW 9.41.010: Terms defined.

Note the three "and"s that link the trigger section, magazine section, and fire rate section such that all must be met. This means if one is not met, it is not a machine gun; e.g. if you pull the trigger once and it shoots at 4.9 shots per second, you're not in possession of a machine gun.

The interesting part is, there is case law that states if you don't have a magazine and just use it as a single-shot firearm, you're kind of in the clear (halfway down the page, State v. Carter): Full auto case law - Washington - Stories From The States - OpenCarry.org - Discussion Forum but they could have charged him with possessing machine gun parts. He was fortunate they didn't, as they now can't touch him under double jeopardy.
