Optics?
So I bought a mossberg 500 persuader, and It has a AR 15 style collapsable stock that sits really high, cant look down the barrel. and has a weaver rail permanantly
attached to it, and is meant for a red dot or something, so, should I buy a Knoxx specops stock, OR should I buy optics? What kind of optics? what brand? this shotgun is for home defense. thank you. |

Hey feller I hate to ask but where is the Weaver rail mounted ?
Mossberg drills and taps all there receivers and surely the Weaver rail can be removed, the receiver should have 4 very small screws attaching the rail. Let me know please sir...A.H |

For a shotgun, maybe go with something this site has to offer.
XS Sight Systems - Shotgun Sights Unless you want a scope? Not sure, but is that a rifled or slug barrel on that model? If it is, then a scope is something to consider for or on it. But if it's buckshot you'll mainly shoot from it, then go with high-end iron or fiber optic sight system.

I have seen Turkey hunters use red dots, scopes too. I have rifle sights with fiber optic inserts on my 870.
The Knoxx stock is a nice upgrade, I'm sure you well like it. I see them on e-bay for about $80.
