Angry Stoeger 2000 in max4 cammo for $320

My father in law picked up a Stoeger 2000 for me at the gun show today for $320, he was thinking thats dirt cheap so he bought it. When he got home I loaded it up and went out to shoot a few rounds, it shot twice before it broke. Now we know why it was cheap after tearing into it I found that the carrier latch extractor had already been repaired once. So I took it upon myself to fix it right this time. whoever fixed it last time brazed the spot it broke and redrilled the hole for the carrier pen. I took all the brazing off with a file, drilled and tapped a hole right beside the place for the carrier pen put in a small screw, to hold the pen in place problem solve and if it brakes again a new screw and it's good to go. So with a little work I gess I still got a good deal. But people shouldn't sell broke guns at all, and tell you there in good shape if it's broke sell it as broke, the dealer he bought it from said it worked fine. He said it belonged to a friend of his, and his friend bought it for his son and the son couldn't handle the recoil. If he would have said it needs a carrier latch extractor, we would have probably bought it anyway. But I wouldn't be feeling like this guy tryed to screw us.

hate to hear about that. I got my fiancee one for christmas, and we both love it. Haven't shot it a whole lot but it seems to eat everything we throw at it. Not to mention it is as smooth as my beneli legacy. I believe they use the same inertia drive.

I hate when sh*t like that happens. My dad bought and old remington model 12c pump 22 about 5 years ago and the guy he bought it from (at a gun show) said it worked great. Got home and checked it out better, went to shoot it, didn't even fire. bore was shot to hell, and i think the firing pin was broke. Long story short 200 dollars later he had a great little gun. I hate people like that.

Have him take it back. Tell him to tell the guy you got hurt and are at the hospital as we speak and if he doesn't want to get his sorry butt sued for selling an inferior product, he might want to give a refund right quick.

I know, but sometimes you just want to be able to do it you know. Hate people that sell crap that shouldn't be sold let alone shot. Some one. you, had it been something else, could have been seriously injured.

It shoots great, its that carrier latch extractor just cheesey made its realy thin and it broke off. Then it won't keep shells in the mag, stick one in and it pops right back out. But now that it's fixed it works great. I'm having a skeet shoot this weekend so it will get a good work out.
