Anyway I知 looking for good barrel length nice smooth action and a good life span and I知 also looking for a good long range gun so nothing with a short barrel. Well I hope someone can help Cheers Brendon |

| Senior Member | You'll have to plug it or otherwise reduce the number of shells the Norinco holds. 1887 Winchesters and clones hold 7 with one in the chamber.

| Senior Member | I just caught the part about the 5 round mag. I was thinking 5 round total. The 87's only hold five in the mag but hold 7 total. Five in the mag, one in the carrier and one in the tube.

| Senior Member | Norinco is apparently making 87's for the Australian market. ADI is supposed to be making 87's for the Australian market but not sure if they are yet. Chiappa of Italy is supposed to have them out later this year. I know nothing about the quality of ADI or Chiappa. Early Norinco's had some problems but those have been worked out and their quality is top notch now, at least the ones made for IAC and imported here are(we can't get guns directly from China). So far all the IAC guns imported here have 20 inch barrels.

| Senior Member | Could look around for a Kessler Model 50 Lever-Matic, Numrich bought out Kessler Arms and for awhile were selling Kessler shotguns as build it your self kits the had a neat accelerator lever attached to the fingerlever that shortened the amount fo lever travel required to actuate the bolt...... I think Ruger studied this idea for its 9622 lever action rifles and back in the 1950's Marlin manufactured there model #56 "clip fed", #57 "tube fed .22lr", #57M ".22mag tube fed", #62 "30carbine clip fed" my father still has his early model 56 and can fire it almost as fast as a semi-auto as the lever drops down about a inch and half |

| Gun Liker ![]() | Nioa import 1887 lever shotguns under the Chiappa brand. Choice of a colour case hardened or chrome reciever, 22" and 28" barrels American walnut ( it might be anyway, says it is ) stock and forend and they have 5+1 capacity. Go to NIOA Trading: Importers and Wholesale Distributors in Australia and see if a dealer is close to you. Chances are there will be one. I wouldn`t take the prices on Nioa`s website to heart, they are usually a tad over what you can get at your local shop. But they are indicative. I`ve not seen the Chiappa jobbies, but the IAC ( I think ) ones that hit the market here were primarily for the chap who simpley had to have a lever action 12 guage. They left a bit to be desired for my wallet.
