Kawaguchiya Firearms Co. K.F.C. (Kawaguchia Firearms Co.) 12 ga Semi-Auto M-250

Anyone familiar with the K.F.C. (Kawaguchiya Firearms Co). 12 Gs. semi-auto Model 250? I have a chance to buy one described as "like new, not fired often." Comes with case, cleaning kit and 2 boxes of shells. Seller is asking $150.

Never heard of it, but a 12ga. with all that for $150? I'd take the chance. I wouldn't have even asked here, I'd have just came bringing photos!

I haven't heard of them but if that KFC does for firearms what the KFC I am familiar with does for chicken it will be a real winner.lol

Sorry

Can't help you on this one other than to advise using a little bit of caution and common sense. If no one on this forum can help you (a rare event), then maybe buyer beware should guide your thought process.

It might be a winner but what if you ever need a replacement part?

K.F.C...Previuosly manufactured by Kawaguchiya Firearms co.LTD was imported by La Paloma Marketing ,Inc in Tuscon Arizona.
Made 1980-1986
Blue Book values it at 250.00 to 300.00 in 95% shape +.
MSR was 485.00
If it has Multi-chokes add 60.00 to the value
The Deluxe model has scrolled acid etched engraving on the receiver both sides and adds 20.00 to the above value...

I have owned a KFC since 1984. It has never jammed including times when I have just dropped a shell into the slide chamber and closed it very quickly to get off another shot. I haved owned quite a few other automatics that don't come close to that kind of reliability. Also it can be completely disassembled in the field with absolutely no tools for cleaning. The only downfall I have noticed is that even using the different chokes the shot pattern is not quite as evenly spaced as my Browning O/U however the recoil is significantly less. If you like the way it fits I would recommend buying it. Also, I have never needed to replace anything on it. Most of the moving parts are satin hardchromed and very resistant to wear. Good luck.
