These type of adapters are used quite often in europe for despatching injured (hoofed) game You just drop in an adapter loaded with usually a pistol round, hold it close to the animals head & squeeze. German regs call for max 35mm dispersion at 5 meters. Virtualy any shotgun gauge & some handgun calibres to .22lr/.22mag/.25acp, .38spl.
