is this a good gun? i inheritated it from my grandpa, along with a harrington and richardson 20 gauge. i was wondering if ther was anyway to configure these to work at mid range deer gun? and alos, are these good guns?

The Winchester should be good to go depending on the barrel and choke. You can get extra barrels for it for slugs if you are interested. Cabela's carries them, I believe.
