Picked up a DeSantis holster at a pawn shop for five bucks (new) It kinda fits my helwan. Now I gotta get a Sig 229 to fit the holster.
I have bought rifles before just because I had some shells for it. (Enfield and M44 Nagent)
I think I need profesional help.

I own a used 239 in .380, it is SS with Houge grips. It only carrys 7 rounds but fits flat in your pocket for concealed carry. It is very acurate, and with 95 grain pills has the needed knock down. I'd buy another used one in a heart beat. This ranks up there with my walther P-99 and P-22 to shot, it is a fun piece.

| I own a fantastic SIG P-220
I purchased a used P-220 at a gunshow for $500.00.
It had less than 50 rounds put through it!!!!
I have put 500rnds in it in the last month and have had no problems with it.
I have been able to shoot a 12X12in. plate target @ 90yds. 4out of 7 shots and print sub 2 in. groups @ 25yds.
This is the most accurate .45 I have ever owned |

Shaun, Where'd you get that cat picture....LOL!!!
I voted yes, but only at a dealership. Then again, I wouldn't buy a used car without checking it out either...

I got my first handgun on Monday this week. Sig P239 in 9mm, used, mint condition.. I'm in love. That article you posted, LD, about Sigs not being the most handsome pistols... I'd have to agree. They're not handsome (as one might describe a DUDE), they're babe-a-licious!
Love my 239.

Love my 239. | I prefer the term "serious". Congrats on your new aquisition.

I used to have a golden retriver that liked beer too much, had to hide the cooler or she get a can out and bite a hole in it.

I'm considering this SIG CPO program too. I'd like to find a P228. I held one in a pawn shop once and it just felt right in my hand, like it had found it's home! I've looked at a couple over the past coupld of weeks and really like them. Their reliability appears to be rock solid, as does their performance, considering just how many LE agencies seem to be switching over. Now I just need to make myself spend the money!

When I get the time for the license, training, etc. I'll be looking at Sigs. I know enough cops and vets who think a Sig 9mm is the ultimate handgun for me to pick as my first. I know you guys all say it's the shooter, not the gun, but I've talked to a lot of Chicago cops who say nothing beats a Sig for accuracy. And if I can get one at a reduced price, but not reduced quality, the savings go into more rounds! There's a couple of reputable dealers around here so I think it'd be the smart way to go. As long as it wasn't completely overhauled; that's like buying a car that got totalled and rebuilt. IMHO.

Sigs are some of the finest pistols made. I would buy a used one although I never have. I always get them brand new and buy the rare ones.
