I was told that a SIG .357 also chambers .40 S&W, is that true?

On the bright side, you can use the same magazines...
To state the obvious, you cannot simply just interchange rounds out of either without the barrel change.

All 3 of my Sigs were bought used (220, 226, P6). While all show signs of wear all function perfect. I have less than a $1000.00 in all 3. These are shooters not safe queens. Now if I could just find a set of Pachmayr grips for the P6. If anyone has a set I would be interested in buying them.

I bought a Sig remanufactured police trade-in 229 .40 two years ago and I absolutely love it. Finally tapped the piggy bank last month and added Laser Grips to it.

I own a Sig Sauer P220 Compact and had no choice but to buy it new. Used Compacts are rare and after shooting a P220 several times I wasn't waitin' around; life's too short to go through it without a Sig Sauer. No other firearm makes me look as good at the range as a Sig P220! It's a BRUTAL FACT!
I observed a guy at the Orlando Gun Show recently putting down cash for a factory refurbished Red Box Sig 220. I asked him if he'd ever owned or shot a Sig Sauer. He had not but had heard the usual good things about them. I told him how excited I was for him. It's kind of like a review I once read about one person's anticipation for his children concerning reading JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings . He said, "And I envy my children, for they have not yet read it." Well, this works for Sigs too.

Our[NZ Army] service pistol is the Sig Sauer P226, I have serviced a lot of them and i must say they are brilliant, and from what I've been told, it sounds like I'm not the only one that thinks so. If the handgun laws weren't so strict here I'd defiantly buy one.

I have never bought a used firearm. If the price was right I would, but it would have to be a really good deal, so low that I'd feel almost guilty about it. A purchase as personal as a handgun should be new. Some people love to buy second hand guns, I'm not one of them.

| Sig Sauer 225/P6 - Questions
My own take on one Sig Sauer. I have a used police trade-in made in 1979. Thus far I have put 100-plus rounds through it without a single flaw. It is the best feeling and best pointing pistol of my 15 or so kinds including S&Ws, Colts, CZs (5), Walthers, Star, Astra, Makarov, and Ruger. It is such a great gun. Dan

| I would buy one and I tell u why I just bought a used P6/P225 and it was hardly used at all. There was some wear from a holster but it looks like it had rarely been fired.I just put 100 rounds through it and it worked flawlessly and had a tight grouping and dead on target.I love it and it is now my new bedside companion.I think it is a great investment. The best investment for me next to my 1911 A1. |

I have heard a lot about the P6, but have yet to see one in person. I want to get a chance to look at one, they seem very reasonable.
