Should I get a Sig

Yesterday as i was walking around I decided that i want a small pistol in like a .380, Like a sign I saw a picture of a p232 (I think) I have never held one or fired one I just like the looks of one and would like more info.
Thanks for all the help

You can't go wrong with a Sig.

They have a couple of .380's but I prefer the 9mm for the higher power level. The 239 is their compact 9mm but it might be a little big for your tastes.

Do you mean the 230? I know sig has a new 1911 style 380 now; very small. Kahr also has a very small high quality 380 now. But I hear that 380 ammo is HARD to get, and the price is unreal if you can get it.

The only complaint I have heard on SIG is hat they don't fit the hand. I have never found that to be an issue personally, maybe that person just needed to shoot more.

The 232 is the compact .380 that competes with the Walther PPK and the Beretta 84. It is one of the best .380s on the market.

You need to see how it fits in your hand and how it shoots. I have a Sig 239 in 9mm and its a great gun, mags are pricey.

I don't think you can really compare a Mosquito to metal-framed, center fire 239. .22 autos are sensitive to ammunition and to cleanliness.

Fits your hand is a personal opinion - I preffer the feel of a Sig and love the controls. If you can carry a 9mm it's a lot more bang for the buck. I shoot my 9mm and a freinds 45 and love them both. Both fit MY hand well but I have kinda little hands.

My Sig fits my hand pretty good. Certainly better than any Glock I've ever held.

I agree, see what fits your and you like to shoot. The Sig 232 is
a great gun. I had a 230 that I should have kept.

The Sig 232 is the newer version of the P230. It is a nice handgun. Kind of on the big side for a .380. If you are looking for a good pistol like the P230/232 you can not go wrong with the P239 in 9mm they are about the same size. I perfer the 9mm to a .380. I have the P232/220/228/239, out of all of them I carry the 228/239 in 9mm the most. LOVE the way they feel. Try them and see what you like.

I carry a Sig 232 everyday in the summer in a IWB. Mine has Crimson Trace Laser grips and I only carry Speer Gold Dot ammo. I absolutely love the feel and I'm a pretty big guy. I carry a full size P220 in cooler weather. I was a Fire Marshal for 16 years and had to qualify with my P220 for about 10 years. Never had a failure to fire, stovepipe or failure to feed. Not once. The 232 has a pretty stiff Double Action trigger for the first shot...but a very light trigger after that. I would rate both my Sigs as excellent carry guns albeit the .380 is about as minimum round as I would carry.

I have a Sig 45ACP and love it. Sig is high quality but when I checked out the Sig 380 I did not like the trigger pull or the weight. I bought a Bersa 380 instead and LOVE it. I don't understand why this 380 pistol is not mentioned more. I has many features of a custom but they come as standard. Features like trigger overtravel spur, relived ejection port, etc. If you wnt a 380 cal I HIGHLY recommend you check out a Bersa.

One of the shooting schools(maybe thunder ranch but one of them anyway) says they love the sigs because they don't jam. I think they were talking 45 and 9's but they like them.

Try different ammo or sell it to me, cheap, and you won't have that problem anymore.

HaHa...

The mosquito is known to malfunction when new, unless you're shooting high quality, high velocity ammo.. After about 1000 rounds it should loosen up and shoot almost any ammo...

If you like it...buy it. It's too big for the cartridge for me, but that's my likes and dislikes.
