Oh really? So does this make them less sought after? Reason I ask is because I know mosins with lammy stocks raises the value a bit, is it the same for SKSs or reversed?

Reversed.....laminated stocks on the Russian SKS's are usually replacements. Bolts that are black are usually replacements. Thus less desirable.

ALL the Russian SKS rifles will be found with the Refurb Mark as they were re-arsenaled in the 1950's before being sold to the U.S. Importers in the early 90's. Some of The stocks that Look laminated actually are NOT laminated but very straight grained wood...
