Just a quick thread, I was in Cabelas on Fri, and they had 3 Yugo 59/66's on the clearance rack for $250 ea in cosmo. That is a pretty good price for those without a C&R.
Just thought I would drop the tip, hope they are still there.
Their Oct 13-23 ad for the Ft. Worth and Plano, Tx. store has them advertised for $279.99 as well. Haven't been in either store to verify if they have any of them on hand though. That is almost as good as $250.00 eh?
I just peeked at them real quick, the original price was over $300. I never get into Cabelas, I just happen by this one while out on a service call. Most of their merchandise is so overpriced. I was surprised to see many of the 2nd hand rifles for darn near reasonable prices. Also considering Big 5 wants close to $400 for a 59/66, if someone lives close, it may be a decent buy.
Can they even sell it to you if you dont have a C&R?
ALR, instore in a face to face sale you do not need to have a C&R. You only need to be able to pass the background check as with any firearms transaction. To have it shipped to you, you would need a C&R or an FFL to receive it.

+1 what chazam stated. I only mention C&R because $250 is about the price us C&R holders can buy them for on the internet. Also there is no shipping, so in reality it is about $15-$30 cheaper.
I just got my SKS Yugo 1969 here in Lebanon, Pa. for $239.00, the dealer thought it was a Romanian but after a day research it was a Yugo with grenade launcher, my question is is this better gun than the Romanian and what is the best type of ammo can I use.
I feel the Yugo is better. If you can the best ammo is the Yugo brass cased that comes up for sale occasionally. It is corrosive so you have to become familiar with complete strip and clean. Otherwise the other commercial brands will do.
