Best way to clean up stripper clips

I went and bought a pack of 20 stripper clips from CenterFire yesterday and the guy said mineral spirits would work to clean them up(soaked in oil). I figured I'd get what I need and let them soak overnight. After I take them out, do I just need to let them dry? I guess what I'm asking is, will mineral spirits leave any residue behind that I need to clean off?

I spray mine down with aerosol brake cleaner from the parts store. It evaporates quickly and leaves no residue. If you're interested, I've got some extra ammo and accessories (sight posts, bayo, strippers, etc.). Send me a PM for a list if you want.
