Exclamation Good Deal on first gun?

I just bought an SKS for $200. It has all matching numbers. it came with 10 rd non detachable and a 30 rd D. Mags. Everything on it Looks great no damage. It says

SKS 7.62X39 Made In China NORINCO POLY USA ATL GA.

Did I get a good deal or a Ripped off?

Please Respond

That is about what they are going for now. And the Norincos are becoming harder and harder to find due to the fact they are not being imported anymore, what you mostly see is the yugos.

For a Chinese Norinco?... You got a good deal.

There are some Yugos that are going for that now. If I remember correctly, the Norincos are the only ones that seem to work alright with the detachable mags.

When I bought mine a few months ago, I paid a little under 200 but the pawn shop didn't know what they had. And yes my Norinco works flawlessly with the detachable mag.
There are a few pictures of it in the detachable mag thread below this one.

When I was shopping for the SkS in Feb., there was a gun shop that had 2 Norincos: 1 reg and 1 paratrooper. The paratrooper was $199 then.... I'm wondering if I should go looking for it again.

It depends on if it was a regular SKS or a paratrooper. The Para has a shorter barrel. A shop in town has a Norinco SKS, pretty good shape, for $150 with out the bayonet. However if it's a shorter Para, then yeah, not a bad deal.
