noob with a question

i am very new to guns i have only had my sks for about a week i was reserching how to clean the sks and they said somthing about a cleaning jag so i was wondering what it is and how to use it

It's a steel or Brass thingie bob you screw on the end of your cleaning rod for when you use patches.
There are some thingie bobs with a slot in them that you pull your cleaning patch through and center them and run them down your barrel and then theres the other style Jag thingie bob thats round with beveled cuts in the side, you center the patch on the end of them and run it down the barrel...Did I help ??? LOL

Go to this link Collecting and Shooting the SKS Carbine - HISTORY when you get there book mark it for future reference,look on the right hand side you will find all the info you need to know about your SKS how to take it down clean it up put it back together as well as setting up your sights,scope mounts etc.

Make sure you clean that gas system when useing wolf EXTREMELY DIRTY AMMO WHAT IS NON-CORROSIVE BY THERE STANDARDS MAY BE CORROSIVE BY OURS ALWAYS SPRAY WINDEX DOWN THAT BORE DRY IT GOOD THEN DO REGULAR CLEANING. If you want more detailed verisions of corrosive ammo go to the Box O Truth.com.
