Here are my non shooters: Left is a 1953 ruskie early import, center L is an Exc NVA that I bought in 1970 off the guy who brought it back, center R is a mint chicom I brought back (papers on both) and on the right is ? import. I Don't remember. All are matching numbers and Exc or better. My shooters are a couple of matching chicom militaries from the first batch of imports. Sarge |

Here's a norinco "paratrooper" I found in the mass of Yugos and Mosins at a local gun store I just went to today (for the first time I might add). poor little guy was lonely & needed a home. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Edit: Here's a better picture of the sks ![]() Outdoor lighting is really the best for picture taking.

This is my first SKS project. Still trying to find a good, economical red-dot or holographic sight to mount on the gas guard.

That's not bad at all! What kind of rail system is that, and how well does it perform?

well I'm going to see how far I can take modding my sks. This is just the first few steps ![]() ![]() Eventually I'll get it rebarreled and have a gas block/front sight made (either that or a dragunov type flash hider/front site), and then I'll glass bed the stock and have it re-blued. but before all that I'll get a trigger job, and a posp scope with a smaller objective.

I ordered an AR15 style birdcage from the sight you mention. I'll post pics once installed.

if i know how to put picture on here I will. hahaha. My SKS is just like yours except for the magazine. I got a Tapco 20 rounders. I have purchased the wrong stock though, my stock is not made for SKS with bayonet, but I fixed it my using my dremel tool to put a slot for the bayonet. it don't look bad at all. Was that a U.F.O on the right? Hahaha. Awesome rifle, man. Are you talking about Kiesler's or the new gun shop on kopp lane? Last edited by Apollo Morelos; 03-29-2008 at 10:09 AM.
