Bipod Query

Anyone tried the bipod that replaces the bayonet?

No, but I almost got one. I'd be interested to hear from someone who has though.

SKS bi-pod

Recently installed one on sons YUGO 59/66, easy to install and it works very well. Also installed a sidemount POSP scope setup from Kalinka - very impressive results.

That's good to hear Robt. Which POSP did you get?

SwedeSteve -
Used the "SKS/SVD 4x24 400 meter rangefinder" with a "undrilled" universal base plate. Ordered the "package" - scope storage pouch, lens cover, eyepiece. The scope comes with a red "dot" bulb, but you can order other colors to suit vision needs. What I liked about this particular setup is it's a "real" military spec scope and "matches" rifle in appearance. I just got a digital camera, will try and get some photo's that are postable if theres any interest?

Yah I frankly like the sks with bipod as well mine was already on my gun when I bought it. Mine is almost exactly like rebelboys except I have a scope already on mine plus I am not a huge fan of the open sights on the sks.

Just installed one on mine, have not had a chance to get to the range yet. Looks just like rebelboy's. Got it from overstock with shipping $20. Got it in 2 days. It is built better than I thought it would be. When I installed mine the part that goes in the lug itself was a very tight fit. Not bad for a cheapy

Have you ever thought about getting a synthetic stock? I am thinking of getting either a SKS or Hi Point 9carbine or shotgun(pump). Has yours ever jammed with that extended magazine?

I have plans to get a tapco t-6 and mags (maybe Santa will hook me up). As of now Ive not tried the 20 round mag. Picked it up at last gun show. It fits like a glove tho. For the range I only used the stock mag. I just put the 20 on for the picture. makes her even cooler

the tapco 20 rounders are GREAT! i've found them for 12.50 a piece. they feed flawlessly. i bought one 30rd. no name plastic mag and had to spend time filing to get the bolt to clear and it still doesnt feed correctly. i would stick with tapco.

Thank you! I love it! Right now it looks different though because I got tired of the scope losing zero every time I cleaned it, so I have a tech sights peep sight on it. I still think it looks great though!
