You have to remove the pin holding in the firing pin. Look at Collecting and Shooting the Military Surplus Rifle (2006) - Surplusrifle.com, they show pictures of what to do.

P.S. you will need a hammer and punch

Yep, the retaining pin has to be tapped out with a punch.

Did you get the f.p. out yet? Be REALLY careful of how you put it back in. I just read an article in an old magazine I have. The whole issue was dedicated to MilSrup guns. It stated that there were 4 different types of firing pin's used in the SKS ! And here is the scarry part, two types, if put in backwards (1) or upside down (2) (Would be really easy to do, because it looks nearly identical "coming or going" )
will cause the rifle to "slam fire" ie. go full auto on you till it runs out of ammo! to be on hte safe side, after you re-assemble the bolt I would only put in 2 rounds at a time for the first 4-8 shots. Just to make shure everythings is working properly.

Thanks for the suggestions and warnings guys. I was able to soak the bolt in kerosene for a week. That freed up the firing pin, that thing was stuck bad. Sorry for the late response and thanks for the help.
