Trigger Assembly Affect Accuracy?

I've seen on a couple sites where people say that the trigger assembly affects the accuracy on the gun. I don't see how that could be possible considering the hammer is going to wack the firing pin in the same way. But for the sake of my opinion possibly being wrong, is there any truth to the trigger assembly affecting accuracy?

actually, Yes. A heavy trigger can have an effect on accuracy when not benched, a Crisp, lighter trigger pull is more "Accurate" when it comes down to hand / Eye
Coordination and getting a shot off smoothly when your eye tells your brain to fire...

Its not so much the gun as the shooter the lighter the trigger the easier it is to "squeze" the trigger versuse "pulling" it.

They're right! That's why there are so many triggers and triggerjobs being sold.
Take a look at Welcome to learn a little about the sks trigger.

I figured it was a correction of user error. I don't see where it would really be worth the money put in though. After all, it is an SKS and I don't see me shooting something so far away that a longer trigger pull is going to knock me off too much.

That's pretty good...I'm going to have to rig me up a stable rest for mine and see how accurate it really is. Up until now all I've had is something to rest the muzzle on.

Trigger pull is just about everything

Trigger pull is the last input you have in a shot.
Stay away from guns with heavy pulls and long pulls. Seek short pull triggers with moderate resistance. Target triggers are a little light for hunting. Some firms do sell replacement triggers for the major brands of rifles. Check this out.

trigger pull on yugo sks

a smoothe/shorter trigger would be nice but how would this affect the rifle in extreme weather hot/cold. I believe this rifle was designed to work in extreme cold???

If you had a scope on your SKS feller you would see how much your barrel flexs when you put the muzzle on a rest.
Always put the forearm area of any gun on the rest, never the barrel or muzzle end.

Technically - no Human engineeringwise - yes

From a purely technical point of view the trigger does not have an effect. However, if a human is going to fire the gun the trigger has a very significant effect in that the force needed to overcome trigger resistance and length of travel
coupled with the interaction to the surface of the trigger will create body movements affecting the pointing of the gun. Trigger pull is a major, if not
the major factor, in choosing between guns of similar quality for most serious shooters.
