Talking Yugo sks

Just bought a Yugo from a friend that lost his job and did not need this gun. It has a Busnell 3-9X50. The scope mount is custom made, he said you can take the scope off and reinstall it and be almost perfect zero. it has 4 screws and a pin to line everything up. WILL have to see it to belive it. I found out last night he welded the small part of the base to the receiver it is about 2 1/8" long and 1/2" high and about 3/8" thick. He had it stored in his Bronco for about 2 months alot of surface rust but paper towel and oil got most of it off. It also has a bipod on it and he painted the stock black with some kind of really heavy duty paint. Almost like a rubber coating. Has a standard mag. It has a custom built muzzle brake. Did i mention that he is a machinist by trade. It looks pretty good but i plan to replace the stock. I may replace the scope with a red dot that i have laying around but have not decided for sure. For the price that i paid i can not complain about anything. $150

doesn't that big of a scope get in the way of the ejected brass?

Looks like he also removed the grenade launcher and replaced it with a custom made flash hider, that part don't look all that bad. As for the entire rifle, it doesn't appear to look all that bad, hard to really tell though, pictures are kind of on the dark side. Could you maybe take a few more with a light on or flash?

But it doesn't appear you got a bad deal. That baby should eat up the green lacquer/clear coated Wolf 7.62X39mm ammo that's for sure. Enjoy and happy shooting.

Wife will not let me use the nice digital camera. so i'm sorry for the dark pics. The scope is on a custom made mount on the left side of the receiver sorta like the winchester model 94 scope mounts.

Went to dads last night shot it about 30 times the scope was off about 1.5" at 60 yds. i"ll have to move scope back about 1/4" to allow stripper clip clearence i was able to remove adjustment cap and load with clips have to see how much the scope is off then.
