Do not know, all the ones I ever got worked fine, and they came from several places.

Never had a bad SKS stripper clip yet. It's kind of hard to screw up a design that simple, as long as you use a decent grade of spring steel to make them with.

I got some Chinese stripper clips were the cartridges are lose fitting, they move side to side. But even these work fine. Some may be better than others, but I think they all work.

I'd like to revisit this thread a little.

I bought a 20 pack of SKS Stripper Clips from TAPCO about a month back, and I can't figure out how to get these to load my SKS. The rounds seem just too tight in the clip, and unwilling to slide out into the magazine. I found the slot they should be inserted into, kinda similar to the Mosin.

Anyway, I'm using the SKS detachable magazines, so that might have something to do with it, but the principles should still be the same. It just seems like the rounds don't want to leave the stripper clips.

Any help is very appreciated.

yeah probably the fact that it is the detachable mags. though i do know that with my sks, i bought newly manufactured stripper clips from AIM Surplus and the ammo fits tight in them. Sometimes it goes in flawless, other times about half goes in, then i have to stop pushing and let off all pressure on the ammo, then push again and the rest slide right in
