Hello , I to have a Model 56 and I love it. I got it at very small Gun show in New Mexico. Im sad to say that It didnt come with all the matching parts. I traded for it. I am glad I did. Since Ive had it I have done nothing but "fix it up". I have a fold away stock, Sinthetic and I totally re done the blueing. It works just great and I'll continue to "fix it up''. I have been looking for another one, but like you said they are hard to find. The Yugo, and the Norico,Russian,Chine seem to be alot more abundant. I just wanted to share my little find also. Wish I had one like yours |

make sure you have enough 922(r) compliant parts to be legal with that "fixing up" Folding stock requires lots of other US made parts...

Welcome SKSfemme. Nice having you on the forum. We need to get more women and young people involved in shooting. Take some of your friends to the range when you shoot the SKS and get them hooked.
