Norinco manufactured the SKS-M, SKS-D, and MC-5D models which were engineered from the factory to accept AKM magazines without problems (though the wood stock must be relieved to accept drum magazines). The SKS also has a slightly longer barrel than AK-series rifles, with a fractionally higher muzzle velocity.

If it IS "brand new" in the cosmoline, then it would def be worth a big chunk of $. Do you have access to the rifle to view it prior to the sale?

At $650 you would be getting a hell of a deal! Ive sold a couple on GB lately in brand new unfired condition and they all broke $1000 + shipping.

The ones Criminalpoet were selling are the collectable ones, NO THUMBHOLE STOCK...worth way more in my opinion than the thumbhole version....
