| SKS Mags I've read over and over that the detachable mags that people put on their SKS don't work too well... I was just wondering if there was such a thing as a non-detachable extended mag... And if there was, would that work or have the same problems as the detachable ones? |

| Most detachables don't work without modification. However, modification is never complicated and in the large majority of cases, all you need is a file, a pair of pliers, and common sense. However, some just don't work. Then there are the tapco 20rd mags. They work very well in mine and my dad's norincos and they work well for others who have tried them. I never hesitate to advise someone to buy them. Now as for non-detachable mags, the highest cap you can get is a chinese 20rd. I've never tried one. You can find them on gunbroker.com usually.

| I have a 40 rd. steel mag that works really well right now. The only problem I can forsee is the plastic follower is beginning to show wear at the feed points and the bolt holdback area. Guess we cant have our cake and eat it too. Only reason I got the hi cap mag was because it and a pistol grip was available when the rifle was purchased. I will not install the grip because you have to drill a hole in the trigger group tang. I would rather drill a hole in a cadillac. |
