$400 to blow and Cabela's is having their guns and ammo sale

Obviously, I'll have to wait until Saturday to look, but they're suppose to have alot of undisplayed rifles. Though its unlikely, I have a feeling there may be something hiding with a chewed up stock but mechanically flawless.

I'll have both my kids in tow though so I don't know how long they'll behave.

Cabela's sale

I would get ammo. It will go up before the firearms.

I went to the Cabelas sale today here in Glendale AZ and the "gun show" sucked! The ammo prices did too. No deals!

Sorry to hear about the disappointment but not too surprised. I find Cabela's has some great gear. But their prices on guns and ammo, especially used guns to be way high. I guess they think they deserve a 30 percent premium because it came from Cabela's. Quite frankly, I don't.

Didn't go but sounds like I didn't miss much. On the plus side, I did get my SKS "upgraded".

Couldn't you take that $400 to a regular gun show and get something better? and a box or 2 or ammo to boot?

I went to the cabellas in dundee, MI saturday. The "gun show" was in an upstairs conference room and there wasnt squat there. And their sale sucked. Fortunately there was a gun and knife show about 10 miles down the road at the monroe county fairgrounds, and that WAS a gun show.
