^You did buy the right one after all. That's good. I thought it was the one I bought. I think they're identical except for the rail mount it seems. Good buy though! I'm gonna look into it myself now. Can you link me up to the specific red dot? I can send mine back and exchange it for that one.

the range I go to has one.
what Ive read to do for zeroing is to have it in a rest, and fire 3 shots, and adjust as needed to get the dot into where the 3 shots landed and keep doing that until you can point the dot on center and get some shots on center

Ok that's just weird. That is the same thing I bought....but it isn't. Its the same item number, but mine is different......that so sucks. I'll just send it back and order a different one I guess...first time they've ever done something like that that I know of.

I figured out which one they sent me rather than what I was supposed to get. It actually costs $2 more, but it doesn't do me any good because I can't use it. So, I sent them an email since its past business hours now. I'll hear back from them tomorrow and hopefully since the made a mistake I can get the right one and only have to pay shipping charges to return the one I have.

took it to the range today, and got it zeroed in at close range, and then just f*cked around with it hitting cans and such. but with 100+ rounds threw it it still held zero. for less than $100 I am very happy with this set up.

So I have just gotten back from the range and I am pleased to report that the BSA red dot on the scout mount held Zero even after removing it for cleaning!! I pulled out my SKS at the range and first shot was 75 yards and I hit a 3" clay! My over all review is this is a great product and I recommend it for anyone wanting to put a scope or red dot on an sks!
