What is a fair price for an SKS these days?

I see them going from anywhere between $300 stock to $600 modified.

I saw 2 Tula's 1 stamped 1954. At my local gun store, $600 each in fair condition. I live in Commiefornia. Glad i bought my Tula 6 years ago.
