| Will this gun kill rabbits? Hey, im new to the forum and really hunting in general. Some info about me - Im mainly a bow hunter and shoot a recurve but im starting to get into guns as well. Ive gotten 2 rabbits this year with my bow and am really looking forward to deer when im 16. Now onto my question, I am too young to buy and own a gun so im looking at a pellet gun for rabbits. This gun is at my local canadian tire and I can just afford it with my christmas money. Here is the link.... Canadian Tire Thanks very much and happy new year to you all. ![]() |

| I've shot hundreds of rabbits with a .177 Crosman pump.

| rabbits are pretty easy to kill but with a pellet gun i'd definitely go for the head. |

| Just killed one the other day with a Crosman 1077 CO2 gun. Head shot from 50ft. Having shot lots of squirrels with it, I don't think a .177 from a pellet gun is going to do much more than p**s off a decent sized rabbit unless its a head shot. |

| .177's will kill rabbits just fine. Headshot from the side or the upper part of the neck close to the head. Make sure you use GOOD, WELL-MADE pellets, NOT something like Crosman Premiers. I highly reccomend Beeman Gold-coated hollowpoints. Have fun. |

| Cleankill is right! If you can hit the bottom of a styrafoam cofee cup at 25 yards, you're ready!
