need help. 38 special s&w

i have a 38s&wspecial ctg i would like to know more about. it has the trade mark on one side with made in usa marcas registradas, smith & wesson springfield, matt. bottom it has c 397417, has wooden grips also. any info would help out. maybe even a price range would be nice

open the cylinder and look on the frame that was covered up with the cylinders supporting arm and there should be a model number...im guessing it will be a model 10

when i pull down the level where you load the bullets i see a number that says 4352. other then that i dont see anything else on the gun that will tell me more

I wish I could help more but it looks like a nice old pistol! Hopefully Mooseman or someone will chime in with some more specific info!

Yup--looks like a good old 4 inch Model 10.

I am concerned about one thing, though--I see a lot of unusual finish wear. What is the overall appearance of the revolver? In other words, what color is it? What is the history behind the pistol?

It appears in about 40% shape...Very worn finish.

yup definately a model 10. wont be worth alot cause of the condition,but its still a great piece to own! lucky guy!
