Smith & Wesson PC 500 Mag

I was saving up to buy the Taurus Raging Bull 500 mag but Taurus discontinued it before i got it paid off so i chose to save up the $450 extra & buy the S&W 10" Performance Center 500 magnum. I finaly got it paid off & my drealer ordered it & i put a Simmons Pro Hunter 2x6x32mm on it & took it home wit ha grin on my face like the Joker in Batman . I loaded up some start charges using the Sierra 350 JHP's & we headed up to the range & started shooting . now here is the bad part on the 4th round the yoke screw came out & the cyclnder fell out on the ground when i opened it. I stopped shooting & called S&W they said they would send me a replacement screw they did & we took it out again & started shooting & on the 3rd shot the thing locked up tight i stopped & called S&W for the 2nd time in a week & told them what had happened & this time they wanted me to return it to S&W so i did & it was @S&W for almost a month & when i finally got it back wiyh a clean bill of health from S&W . I was at this time getting nervous but i took it wit hsome factory shells this time my dealer must have felt bad for me he sold me 5 factorys for $5 weI loade up the cyclinder & shot it & this time the thing what i call jumped the timing & the cyclender wouldn't budge . Now you can imagine the words i was using now i called S&W for the umpteen time & they sent for the thing prepaid & when i got it back i took it & sold it & lost my rear on it & i swore off a S&W forever .

I believe S&W had a recall of some of these revolvers.

I have 3 of the .500s: a 4", a 5" JRS and a 6 1/2" PC Hunter. All have worked fine from the beginning. Too bad for your problems.
