Wow, a Model 52. That is pretty rare. It only shot 0.38 sp. flat-nose wad-cutter. You need to be pretty steady with that. The velocity is so low, the shooter needs to make sure he doesn't let the muzzle kick before the projectile has left the barrel. I had a 952PC for a short time (and got the preceding history lesson when I bought it). It is an excellent all-steel pistol and exceptionally accurate, but it never felt right in my had. There are no rubber grips available and the wooden grips seemed to widen (from the limit of the checkering) right where I wanted to grip it hard. I sold it and only lost $50. For the price I wanted something that was perfect, not something that is less easy to shoot than my $500 686.

It is really fun to shoot. The low velocity and long slide makes for an interesting recoil. It is very accurate. I'm a big fan of the original Model 39. I had never heard of the 952PC. I googled it and I like it. It looks like a long slide version of my 39. I might have to have one!!!
