| Saw these at a show today both 5 screw 350 for the 38, 275 for the 22 both 80% Good deal? |

| At 80%, that might be a little bit high, but either one is worth buying if the mechanicals are in excellent shape. Unless the gun is out of time or has other mechanical problems, these make great guns for woods hiking, home defense or a "desk drawer" gun, since you needn't worry about scratching 'em up. They can also be refinished to make them beautiful again (though you lose collector's value). When buying used guns, be sure to examine the gun carefully to make sure the action is safe and the timing of each chamber is correct. If you don't know what to look for, pay your local gunsmith $10 for a 10-minute review of how to inspect a gun. It'll be worth 100 times that if it saves you from buying a klunker. |
