S&W Rebate Just bought a S&W40VE and am wondering-Do I have to send in Original Receipt, or just a Copy for my mags and cash? How about some reports on this weapon. Thanks

Just a copy will do. Magazines will arrive about 3-5 weeks after sending the rebate, Check will take a few months, be patient. I have never fired the S&W-VE, but I'm guessing it's a decent weapon. Backed with a lifetime warranty, you can't really go wrong. My only concern with the weapon would be the trigger, since a few have complained in the past. If you can get past that, it's probably a very good handgun.

Going from your model, I believe that is the S&W Sigma 40. I have the Sigma 9mm and I think it is a good gun for the price. A lot of people down the Sigma series, but they really are not that bad. They do have a very heavy trigger pull, but it does get better the more shots you put through it. I have put about 2,000 rounds through mine and it has gotten much better. I have also talked to some guys that have bought some new parts for the trigger and it decreases the weight of the pull. Good luck with your purchase.

Rebate I talked to the dealer, and they said just a copy will work. I haven't shot it yet, but the salesman,Retired sheriff said it's a heck of a deal, for the money. Glock - almost. I figure the heavy trigger pull will be improved by the company, or some gunny with the knowledge to improve it. We'll just give it some time. Who knows, I might like it that way. Sure am happy with the rebate and extra mags. Thanks for the replies. HJPP Last edited by HJPP; 03-05-2008 at 05:06 PM.

I have just bought a sigma as well. before buying we discused the trigger I was told the new? model had a better trigger pull. Ive had it a week and put 150 rounds through it mine doesnt seem to have an excessive trigger pull. Seems fairly accurate too. the only problem Ive seen is a lack of a thumb safety I carry it with an empty chamber because of this.

S&W Rebate I bought an S&W Sigma in .40 S&W in December, and an S&W M&P in .40 S&W in January, but haven't received either the magazines or rebate so far. The Sigma does have a rough trigger, but isn't bad for a brand new $300.00 pistol, before the $50.00 rebate. I love the M&P and wouldn't trade it for anything. The best part is the lifetime guarantee.

Got the Rebate Check but no Magazines In what appears to be contrary to most other experience, I have received my rebate check but not the magazines. Sent in forms late January, received check mid March. Anyone else had this situation and eventually got the magazines or should I start trying to track the mags down.

The time between receiving my check and magazines was about 2 months. You could always call S&W, they have great customer service. But I wouldn't worry too much.
