Performance Center v. standard production

I think I'll be better off w/ a PC gun but, a buddy of mine tells me to get a 6" 686 have a trigger job done to it, have it ported and put some nice grips on & save some $$ because I won't know the difference between the 2.
What do ya'll think?

I'd rather get it done my way, if it was good enough for Frank Sinatra, its good enough for me!

I think your buddy is probably correct with regards to S&W's wheel guns. If you were going with a semi, I think you would be hard pressed to save money and get the same performance.

Been throwing it back & forth. Currently I'm on the standard 357 mag side. Less expensive investment, can have the trigger work done & might have $$ left over to buy ammo with.
