Springfield M1A

I loved my XD so much I recently bought the M1A. I purchased the "loaded" model and love the new rifle. I was wondering if any of you have these as I am experiencing a small issue with it. I am finding that ejecting brass is striking the outside of the bolt leaving little nicks in the blueing. This is purely cosmetic as the rifle operates GREAT! Anyone heard of this? I, to state the obvious, clean the chamber and ejector after each use but wasnt sure if this was an adjustment issue. Lend me your knowledge!!

well I answered my own question here. This is quite normal according to the springfield custom shop. Actually means the ejector is working quite well. Only suggestion was to use more expensive ammo........blah.

perfectly normal on M1 , and M14/M1A's. brass should end up at about the 3 o'clock position, usually with the case necks dented from the op-rod.

The Loaded model is my favorite. If I had the money, that is exactly what I would get. They shoot so sweet, smooth, and accurate. It is normal to get a few nicks from the ejected brass, nothing big. Put up a few pics, love to see it.
