Help!

I have the standard recoil spring in this new gun (Springfield XD 45 4" service) and I am getting stove piping because I am running light loads for target use. I use 185 grain lead with 4.2 grains of clays.

I need a lighter spring (I think).

Any suggestions on where to get one. Stock is 17 lbs. and I think I need something closer to 12 lbs.

Thank you. This is my first post.

Welcome Capt.Bob
You can order different weight springs from Brownells...Brownells - World's Largest Supplier of Firearm Accessories, Gun Parts and Gunsmithing Tools
I normally use Nowlin Springs which are Chrome Silicone 1

Wolf Springs makes reduced load springs. MidwayUSA has them.

Or had them, I haven't bought any lately.
