| How much should I pay I have been eyeing a XD9 Sub Compact. They are asking 495 for it and it is used. It looks as good as new no wear on any parts. Do you think that is a good deal or not? Any advice would be appreciated.

| It's all black. I appreciate your responses. I am very curious and I am going to by myself a present for my B-Day I just want to make sure I get the best deal possible. I am actually selling a couple of my other handguns to help set off the price of this one. Plus you can only shoot two at a time anyway.

| Senior Member | I will tell you this. When i went to buy my XD 40 They were hard to get locally and my local gun shop had them on order but hadn't seen any in months for whatever reason. I drove an hour to get my tactical in OD green .40 brand new. And I paid almost a hundred more than that. But it was the only one I could find. I may have over paid a bit but I got exactly what I wanted and started a new relationship at a new gunshop. So what I am saying is if it is not what you want to pay and you can find them locally don't buy it. You may be able to find the same thing locally for cheaper. I think a new black one runs about 450 locally. But I could be wrong. |

| I think that is kinda high for a used one as well. Make the guy an offer (~$425), most gun shops price high knowing that people want to haggle - they expect it. If he wants to be a jerk about it, hunt another gun shop. Some gun shop guys have bad attitudes - I don't understand that. By the way, you will come out way better selling your pistols than trading them - they will always rip you on that. He likely paid whoever traded the XD your looking at ~$350. He is trying to make $150 on the pistol (of course, all speculation on my part!) If you can find a local FFL to do a reasonably priced transfer, I would suggest looking on Auctionarms.com or Gunbroker.com. Even with shipping and a transfer fee you may come out ahead (don't forget about the dang sales tax on the local purchase). |

| Thanks for the advice SilverRun. I did list my pistols for sale locally yesterday afternoon. I have already sold one of them. I really only need one more and then I should have enough. I thought about having him make the total price tax and all 500 even. I really need to get back down there and take a closer look at what he has that comes with it. It says that it comes with Tactical Gear. I have no clue what gear he is talking about. i am guessing that it is the package that they sell from SA.

| I bought an XD 45 and it came with a 10 and 13 rd mags, a plastic kind of half holster, double mag holder, mag laoder, cable lock and bore brush. I payed $475 of the .45 I think the 9mm should be a little less.

| Does it come with all the extras? Like the case, 2 mags, gun lock, holster, mag loader, flashlight holder? Because I see one at AA right now that would come right in about $500 with the shipping and FFL transfer fee. It's graded factory new, so it's probably never been shot. And it does have all the goodies. |

| If I were you I would DEFINATELY shop around. I own a 3"XD40 SC-HC in two tone green on black and paid $495 new, and the gun store ordered it for me. Thay sell for around $490 to $500 new by me. I would not pay over $395 for a used one. |
