quick XD question

Hi all, I just have a question, I have an XD 40, everything works fine its brand new, but..... when I load the magazine up with 12 rounds and put it in the gun and go to release the magazine the release button is VERY hard to push in! When I have around 8 rounds in it the release is easy to push, its not a big thing but I was just wondering if anyone knows of this, or could it be that the gun is new and still tight? Like I said it loads great and everything is in perfect condition just that issue.

Break it in, I had a similar problem with my XD9 with the 16 capacity magazine. After twice at the range it works great.

Things being hard to push is common with new guns. After a few hundred rounds (in this case, a bunch of magazine releases), it will break in.

My S&W M&P had a hard slide release, but now I can operate it with ease.
